Lambert – who created the Hotel San Jose after ditching her job as a prosecutor in Manhattan and returned to her native Lone Star state – wanted the hotel to embody that uniquely Texas feel, and it does. With the success of the Hotel San Jose, Lambert launched Bunkhouse, a company that is responsible for overseeing her growing portfolio of properties.

All of the Bunkhouse properties share a common design aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the Southwest and South of the border with bright colors paired with minimalistic interiors punctuated by natural elements like native wood and granite.  Although Austin boasts the greatest number of Lambert’s cool digs, Bunkhouse has extended its reach westward and now includes spots in the San Antonio, Marfa, San Francisco, and Mexico.

Don’t be the last to discover Liz Lambert’s most Instagrammable destinations – including the most recent addition South of the Border in Todos Santos, Baja Sur Mexico.
